Golden Echoes, Myanmar – Rob French
‘From the capital of Yangon to the ancient city of Bagan, along the majestic Irrawaddy River and the waters of Inle Lake, Golden Echoes is a journey through Myanmar that celebrates the incredible diversity of the locals, their culture and traditions. Shot over two weeks, it’s clear to me that this mysterious, deeply spiritual, charming and naturally beautiful land has much to offer the world.’
A huge hat tip to Rob who has perfectly paired some beautiful drone footage of Myanmar with up-close shots of characterful locals and their intricate craftsmanship; together they provide a fascinating window on day-to-day life in this region. We particularly enjoy the use of light throughout the video which helps create some stunning photo-like moments.
There were a lot of great submissions this month – a big thanks to all those who shared their latest captures. There was some beautiful footage of Kafue National Park from The World Pursuit, who gave us a peek into their adventures in Zambia, while Macca from A Brit and a Broad has got us hankering after a trip to Havana with his latest vlog.
Thank you to all the Pathfinders who submitted videos this month – keep your eyes peeled on our Thorn Tree forum where we’ll post the next submission call-out.
